Q: Do the companies whose products gruntlings.com is reviewing pay to be reviewed?
A: No. No company pays to be reviewed, and our reviewers do not accept payment for reviews.

Q: Do the companies give you free products in order to have them reviewed?
A: Yes, sometimes we get products for free, or sometimes we purchase them ourselves in the stores. Either way, the product gets our unbiased review.

Q: So why do so many products get four or five stars? Where are the bad reviews?
A: Mostly we review the things that we love, occasionally you’ll see a bad review here… But most baby products are pretty darned good. Babies are easy to please, afterall! Also, as reviewers we’re guilty of reading the reviews on products before we purchase them… So it’s the rare occasion that we end up buying something that truly merits a poor review. And then, there’s the fact that we prefer working on the reviews of the cool new things we’ve discovered rather than wasting time reviewing something that was a disappointment, so sometimes we just don’t review the things we really didn’t like.

Q: What if my experience with the reviewed item is different from the experience the reviewer had?
A: By all means, feel free to post your experience in the comments section. Our goal is to have as wide a range of information on the products as possible. Different moms prefer different things, and different babies prefer different things. We’d love to hear about why YOU liked or disliked an item.

Q: What if I want to have MY product reviewed by your site?
A: We’d be happy to review any products. Just email sara@gruntlings.com for information on where to send baby or child products for review. We’re always looking for products that are innovative, fun, different, or even just everyday-essential.
