Automoblox, if you haven’t heard of them yet, are wooden toy cars that double as sort of interlocking blocks. The parts are interchangeable with other Automoblox in the series, and your child can build zany car-creations that are multi-colored and a lot of fun by changing the parts of the different cars in the collection. One car will give your kid one car’s worth of fun. Two will be even better.

The T9-SE is a special edition Automoblox. Only 2,000 of them have been released (and I have one, which means that fewer than 1,999 are still available… Probably far fewer, as these cool little cars are quickly becoming a beloved childhood classic.)

Ok, you’re back. Wasn’t that cool? A puzzle, shape sorter, wooden-toy car all in one with cool European/Italian styling (although Automoblox is US-based and the cars themselves are manufactured in China) Now add in the fact that this little truck is a limited edition. It sort of makes it into the unisex version of the porcelain doll. But affordable. The T9-SE is pretty much the same price as the T9. It’s just cooler.

T9-SE SPECS

The T9-SE is a wooden pickup truck version of the Automoblox. It weighs in at 14.7oz for the truck and people, with each person weighing in at less than .2oz. This truck as the same stellar quality and durability as the rest of the line, and has a single achilles heel: Water. Wipe it clean, do not immerse it. Its four little people each have a “shape sorting” bottom that determines where they sit in the car. There are two “adults” and two “children”. The people that come with the T9-SE are black with red details. The truck is wood and red with a black polycarbonate roof and white tires. The car’s serial number and other identifying information can be found on the bottom of the car.

BOTTOM LINE

So what are you waiting for? Pick up one of these for your little guy’s collection, and make sure to get him a stock T9 to use and abuse, since you’re going to want to keep this limited edition in mint condition.
