The Snap and Squirt sea creatures come in a mesh suction-cup sack that vaguely resembles a fish bowl. There are eight brightly colored sea creatures in total: a whale, fish, turtle, crab, seahorse, snail, octopus and coral.

I find these squirt toys to be slightly larger and more flexible than other squirt toys of similar price, which makes them easier to fill with water. My son loves the squirting and will laugh for the entire bath time while I let him chew on one squirt toy while I use the other squirt toy to squirt water at him in all the hard-to-clean places. Do you have a baby that hates it when you use a washcloth to clean out the goo that accumulates between neck folds? Give these toys a try.

My son loves these toys not only in the bathtub but also as a small and inexpensive toy to chew on in the stroller. The soft varied textures of the toys seem to soothe him, and when he inevitably tosses the toy over the side of the stroller when I’m not looking- it’s not expensive enough to be a major loss.

These squirt toys are unique in that they are not only easier to squirt- but they also link together to form chains.

With all these great aspects, why only three stars? Because, like all squirt toys these toys are hard to fully empty of water and will become moldy eventually. The ease with which you can squirt them also varies from toy to toy- and none of them are quite easy enough for a younger child to squirt on his/her own. The “snap” feature of these toys is also not as much fun as you might expect as the toys don’t always snap together very well, and can quickly become frustrating.

Despite these shortcomings, these toys are a great deal of fun and it’s no big deal to replace them every 4-6 months when mildew builds up.
