ABOUT THE SERIES
“Milestones Chewables” are a series of board books geared toward infants, toddlers and preschoolers. They talk about common milestones that children go through, and show children from different countries and ethnic backgrounds going through the milestones.
The message of the series is subtle but clear: We all come from the same place. We all have shared experiences.

PRODUCTION QUALITY
The quality of the book itself is very good. The board book pages are thick cardboard, and the printed portions are brightly colored and glossy.
The text all stands out well against the white background and is easy to read.
The only slight nitpick (which might actually be a positive, depending on how you look at it) is that the photographs have a very “home snapshot” quality to them. They vary in color balance and exposure across the whole book. It feels a bit like looking through a home-brew photo book. On the one hand, it feels a bit too home-brew. On the other hand, it is REAL. The children are real. They’re obviously not models being posed and airbrushed. They’re real, they’re alive, and they’re having fun.
A slightly better color balance and handling of exposure across the book might have been nice, but I can see how it might be hard to achieve without destroying the “real kids” feeling of the book.
SPECS
This little board book is 20 pages long and measures 5.5 x 4.8 x 0.5 inches.
BOTTOM LINE
The text accompanying the photos is fun and energetic for reading to your child, and the book is the perfect size for small hands to hold for independent reading time. My son loves pulling it out and “reading” it to himself while yelling “ROLL!” and “GO BABY!” and clapping to cheer the babies along.
“Go Baby!” is a great book to have in your collection. Babies love seeing and imitating other babies, and it’s never too early for your child to start to learn about the diversity that they will experience in the world.
