The artwork by Nathalie Dion is a beautiful updated take on whimsical 50’s kitsch, full of patterns and colors that will engage a young reader. Subtle cute details will probably be missed by a young child but will amuse mom when she sees them- such as the St Bernard that has a sippy cup on his neck instead of the thermos typically pictured with the breed, or the bottles being waved about in a toast as winter babies welcome in the New Year.
