This is by far the cutest, most unique last minute gift idea I have seen. Reasonably priced with many varieties to choose from, Sock Grams are a fun and out of the ordinary way to say “Merry Christmas� or just “Thinking of You�. On the website, you choose the novelty sock pattern you want to send, a card that will accompany the socks and then add a personal message to the card. The nice folks at Sock Grams then package your selection with free foot balm (or stickers for the kids), wrap it and send it to the gift recipient of your choice. Sock Grams appeal to all ages, 0-99!

PACKAGING/CONTENTS

My Sock Gram arrived in a beautiful blue metallic envelope that caught my attention as soon as I pulled my mail out of the box. The envelope is durable, waterproof and just downright pretty. Inside, the pink ballerina socks I chose for my daughter were neatly wrapped in pink tissue paper sealed with a sticker that says “Warm Hearts, Happy Feet�. Also inside the tissue wrapping were some stickers and a .25 fl. oz. packet of Foot Balm. The personalized greeting card is printed on high quality card stock with elegant and legible print.

THE SOCKS

The socks themselves are adorable. My daughter tried them on immediately and proceeded to wear them around the house for the rest of the evening. They appear to be made of high quality material that is also soft and comfortable. Her exact words were “These are so comfy!â€? The ballet slipper design imprinted on the socks is especially fun for her as she takes a dance class and is into all things ballet. This goes to the claim made at SockGrams.com that they offer the “perfect personalized giftâ€?. With the huge selection of patterns they offer, they’re bound to have something for anyone you can think of.

THE FOOT BALM

The small packet of foot balm was enough to thoroughly cover both my feet and my daughter’s. It has a nice mentholated herbal scent and left our feet feeling smooth and pampered.

THE CONCEPT

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical that sending someone socks was a good gift idea. However, since receiving the Sock Gram, I have changed my tune completely. I can think of several people on my list that this would be a fitting item for. Besides Christmas, I also have a cousin who just had a baby that lives several hours away. One of the baby sock packs (very cute, very unique patterns) will be heading her way soon. Also, my daughter is 4 and she was very excited to unwrap her little gift. The pretty packaging grabbed her interested immediately and she couldn’t wait to see what was inside.

ISSUES/NITPICKS

My one and only nitpick about the socks is a minor material issue. The socks are sturdily made but because the material is so soft, there is a bit of fabric “ballingâ€? on the bottom of the socks after only being worn for a few hours. This is not visible unless you get close to the socks and examine the bottoms. The tops don’t fray at all. I hesitated to even mention it because the socks are so nice and the whole package is so great in every other way, but in the interest of thoroughness, I had to put it in.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Sock Grams are a wonderful last minute or any other kind of gift idea. They are a unique and surprising way to tell the ones you love that you’re thinking about them, even if you can’t be there in person.
