My son loves toy cars. What little kid doesn’t? As a result, our apartment has been taken over by hoards of tiny plastic-and-metal contraptions. As a parent that loves wooden toys, the huge box of plastic saddens me.

This little wooden “hybrid” car by ImagiPLAY was a welcome addition to our toybox. It is part of a series of ecologically friendly natural rubberwood push-along toys. It is toddler-sized, chunky and made of a single piece of wood. Little rubber tracks run around the wheels to protect your floors.

ECO-FRIENDLY, SAFE & FEEL-GOOD

These little cars are both ecologically friendly and safe. Rubberwood is a splinter-free hardwood. That produces a sap that is used to make Latex products. After 25-30 years when the tree is no longer producing usable sap, it is harvested and the wood is used to create beautiful products such as this little car. Not only that, but ImagiPLAY factories are located nearby the communities where its workers live. This encourages them to walk or bicycle to work. The short commutes are ecologically friendly and also allow the workers time to spend with their own children and families.

SPECS

This little car is 5″ x 4″ x 1″. It has two “windows”, one larger than the other, and perfectly sized for exploration. The parts fit tightly and there are no small parts, making this toy suitable for children of about 1 and up. Crawlers will love pushing this along as they creep across the floor.
