PoPo’s Ponchos are precious little microfleece ponchos that have an almost sueded feeling. They are colorful, unisex, and awfully cute. Each style is named after an ice cream flavor, and their goal is to have 101 “flavors”.

QUALITY& CONSTRUCTION

Popo’s ponchos are very well made. The seams are smooth and comfortable. One seam runs down the back, one down the front, and one down each side.  Softer seams run around the inner lining of the neck area, and around the pocket area. The hood is fully lined with smooth and colorful cotton fabric, so the seams of the hood are very comfortable. The front kangaroo pocket is cutely shaped with a rounded bottom and scalloped openings that are perfectly sized for your child’s han. The pocket is lined with the same fleece as the poncho, and has an outer layer of the same cotton fabric that lines the hood and that forms the edging around the bottom of the poncho.  There are three snaps on the poncho: one at the neck where two tabs overlap to snap the poncho closed, and one on each side of the poncho that form two “sleeves”. Since the sleeves are formed at the wrist and have ample openings, your child can easily wear a bulky winter jacket under one of these ponchos.

EASE OF USE

These ponchos are very easy to use even when you have a kicking and screaming child that DOES NOT NEED A JACKET. Drop over the head, snap the snap at the neck, go outside… And some time later when the child is distracted, you can snap the side snaps. Couldn’t be any easier.

WARMTH FACTOR

These ponchos are made of a single layer of microfleece, so they’re not super-warm but they’re snuggly and the material does not become cold to the touch the way some materials do.

They’re best for mid to late spring, early to mid fall, or for layering on over your child’s jacket for an extra layer of warmth.

BOTTOM LINE

These little ponchos are a great layering tool during colder months, or as stand-alone jackets during warmer months. I’d highly recommend you get one of these for your little one for the spring!
